Max’s uncle Budrick is a traveling troubadour in 14th century Europe and he’s the only family that she has. When the two visit Budrick’s homeland, they encounter the evil King Gastley who kidnaps him and orders him to be his court jester. Max, who has always yearned to be a knight, must figure out how to rescue her uncle with the aid of new friends who call themselves the Midknights. Aided by the retired wizard Mumblin, Max and her team try to save Budrick and restore peace to the kingdom.
